The "GARDEN"

Today is my second day back in Uni... Reach here last night and had physical training shifting in all my stuffs... Somehow i still found some strength to go catch Singapore Mediacorp's Ah Long Pte Ltd at 11.30pm at Mid Valley!!! I laugh till i ran out of voice!!! The song of the day was:

阿窿来,看爸爸,爸爸不在家。

我请阿窿先坐下,再敬一杯茶。 。 。

(Try sing it!!! It fits in perfectly...)

I thought it was a really nice movie... Fann Wong justified why she is my favorite Singapore artist since primary school!!!

Wow... So "yeng"... (Kids don't try this at home)

We parked the car at The Gardens, Mid Valley last night.

But for my post today, it's not The Gardens in KL, but my mom's garden back in Johor Bahru....

Nowadays, everybody is being told to keep the world green... Charity begins at home, i spent a morning during my break at home observing the "greenary" at home... Mom does the gardening and has quite some variety of plants in the house compound!!!

On the right is the so called "paper flower"...
In contrast of the "greenery" i said earlier.

The working area...

For the below particular jaw-like plant, anybody know what's the name??? In case you wanna say it's pandan leaves, you are wrong, sorry...

These plants below are mom's collection. The center one is called "mother-in-law's tongue", maybe because of the sharp leaves which pokes. On the left is the "prosperity tree" while on the left looks more like the "pandan" leaves.

Now, this is an amazing one! It used to be at my knee height when i left home... But now it's as tall as me... It gives out a very strong smell, so much so that it has become the favorite for the "snail gang"!

It's the curry leaves... U can't cook curry without adding some of those!

This is the "Jambu Batu" tree which has been there since i can remember it standing there (means about 20 years???)

Used to bare sweet and very nice jambu batu for the family... Nowadays production has gone down...

On the right hand side looks like the Bodhi leaves which has outgrown the pot...

You can call it Man Kind, Mick Folley, or
Cactus Jack (of WWE)...

But these are the toughest plants on earth that can survive even without water... The name is
cactus only lar...

But i think Durian is "pain-er" la....
